The Backpacking Housewife Janice Horton on BBC Radio Scotland The Kaye Adams Show

Janice Horton on BBC Radio Scotland The Kaye Adams Show

During the launch of my novel The Backpacking Housewife I spoke to BBC Scotland Radio presenter Stephen Jardine who was standing in on The Kaye Adams Show. He asked me lots of questions about selling up and leaving Scotland to travel the world with just a backpack and about my series of books The Backpacking Housewife published by HarperCollins.

Click on the slider below to listen in to the interview – which went out LIVE at 11am UK time which was actually 4am my time while on a small island in the Caribbean! The interview lasts around 15 mins.

Thanks Odette – it was a really fun interview to do even though I had to get up at 4am Caribbean time to be live on Radio Scotland!

Great interview I liked it very much. I would not change anything you talked like I know you from conversation.

Ok now I’ve listened and it was great. Jo actually asked halfway through if you were reading straight from our blog as so much of what you said resonated with us. Same views and story in so many ways. Great interview although he should have read the book and asked more about it.

Thanks for the lovely comment on my radio interview. I too thought when I read your blog posts on JWalking that so much of yours and Jo’s life reflected our story too – which goes to show that there is a definite trend for us’older’ people to go travelling and adopt a more adventurous lifestyle. Re the interview – I was a bit worried about halfway through that he wasn’t going to mention the book at all – so I made sure to bring it up!

I didn’t but I’m going to now. Well, in a minute or two after dinner.
