THIS IS THE LINK TO MY POEM – THE OCEAN’S EMBRACE
I wrote this poem ‘The Ocean’s Embrace‘ as a loving tribute to my darling husband James (Trav) Horton. I read it aloud at his funeral. I don’t know how I managed to recite it clearly, but apparently I did. Everything about that day is still is a blur to me.
A talented composer friend, whom I’m calling an ‘Earthly Angel’, then kindly offered to set my recording of the poem into a specially composed piece of music. The result is a beautiful, watery, atmospheric, and ethereal piece of art. I love it.
I hope you will love it too. I’ve set the recording into an accompanying video, which like the poem, is inspired by Trav’s love of scuba diving and his ‘happy place’ in the underwater world.
As a writer, these words are my way of saying au revoir, mon amour – until we meet again, my love.
